What do you think?
Today we listened to a group called Free Planet Radio. These musicians fuse middle eastern instruments and rhythms with a western feel. What does this music make you think of? Do you think it is fair to join these two types of music? Why is this music not as popular in the United States?

This music relaxed me. It was so mellow. I think it is plenty fair to join these types of music. I am all for musical expression and experimentation. I think pulling on your influences is important. If these guys are influenced by middle eastern folk music and they use it in their music, then good for them.
People in the United States don't like what they are not use to hearing. So, I think that is why this type of music is not as popular in America as it could be.
